Shawn Geers is a self-taught artist from Pacific City who began painting in 2019 with the help of YouTube. She specializes in "Acrylic Fluid Abstract Art" by using several creative techniques while she works. A recent interest of hers is with mixed media and three-dimensional textured art—experimenting with different mediums to create a one-of-a-kind piece.
Shawn draws deep inspiration from coastal waters and has a passion for working with color. She especially enjoys creating "Wave" canvases, using textured spiral patterns in shades of blue and green. By applying a blow-dryer technique, she skillfully spreads and shapes the paint to achieve fluid, organic designs.
Experimenting with different mediums to create mixed media and three-dimensional art continues to fuel her creativity. She also incorporates crafting into her work, blending painting techniques with resin to add depth and dimension to her pieces.
Shawn believes art is in the eye of the beholder—each viewer sees something unique in her abstracts. This individuality fuels her passion, making the process of creating and sharing her fluid art even more rewarding.
