Shawn Geers is a self-taught artist from Pacific City who began painting in 2019 with the help of YouTube. She specializes in "Acrylic Fluid Abstract Art" by using several creative techniques while she works. A recent interest of hers is with multimedia and three-dimensional textured art – working with different mediums to create a one-of-a-kind piece.
Shawn is deeply inspired by coastal waters and enjoys working with color. She's fond of creating canvases of "Waves" in textured spiral patterns of blues and greens by using a blow dryer technique to spread and shape the paint. This type of experimenting using different mediums to create multimedia and three-dimensional designs is inspiring to her. Crafting is also incorporated using painting techniques and resin.
Shawn strongly believes that art is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone sees different images in her abstracts and that, to Shawn, makes creating and sharing her fluid art even more worthwhile.
