Painter (watercolor, charcoal, soft pastels) & Sculptor

Sharon Erb

Sharon Grace Erb, a talented artist based in Cloverdale, Oregon, primarily works in two-dimensional art. She has a strong passion for watercolor and charcoal, which are her preferred mediums. In addition to these, she also experiments with soft pastels and sculpture, allowing her to explore different artistic expressions and techniques. Her work showcases a blend of precision and creativity, making each piece distinctive and engaging.

Sharon’s artistic range spans a variety of subjects, including landscapes, still life, portraiture, and animals. Watercolor is her preferred medium for landscapes, as it allows her to create serene and realistic depictions of nature. For other subjects, she relies on charcoal and soft pastels, both of which enable her to add depth and texture to her work. The unifying elements in her pieces are color and texture, which she skillfully uses to bring harmony to her compositions.

When creating portraits, Sharon favors charcoal because of its ability to capture intricate details. Her soft pastel pieces, known for their rich and opaque colors, also maintain a high level of realism. She enjoys forming a connection with her portrait subjects—whether human or animal—bringing out their personality and essence in her artwork.

One of Sharon’s favorite aspects of her work is accepting commissioned pieces, as they offer clients something deeply personal and often unexpectedly touching. She also provides prints of her work in two sizes, along with 5 x 8 greeting cards. Her watercolor prints are specially produced on watercolor paper, preserving the delicate and vibrant nature of her original pieces.

God, family, and art are my Happy Places. The rest is just filler.
